Fun Run

Editing a novel feels a lot like running a half-marathon. Editing the novel that I’m editing right now feels a lot like the half marathon I ran yesterday, feels a lot like a sustained sense of working very hard and worried at any point it won’t work, working very hard and loving the vague knife’s edge feeling of the impossibility of getting to the end.
